TERNI Terni perhaps is the only city of the region that reveals an industrial spirit hasing been the center of the national industry iron worker and the major place of production of army.Its origins instead are ancient: Interamna Nahartium was called by the Roman, that means "between two rivers": the Nera and the Serra. Naharki was instead the name of its founders, warriors and shepherds who surrendered only to the Roman with the battle of Sentino. For the modern age we remember the obelisk by Arnaldo Pomodoro “Lancia di Luce” and the works by architect Ridolfi: in Piazza Tacito and Corso del Popolo.Terni is famous in order to have given the birth to the emperor Tacito and to San Valentino, who was the bishop of the city dying for the Roman persecutions, and now is the city's patron.
